Habitat for Humanity offers a hand up to community members who have worked hard to achieve financial stability and responsibility, volunteered within the community, attended homeownership classes, and have consistent employment.

Thanks to resources within our community, we are able to build and sell you a home at an affordable price. West Volusia Habitat selects homeowners based on three criteria:

1. The applicant’s level of need.
2. Their willingness to partner with Habitat by investing their time and labor (sweat equity), building homes alongside volunteers.
3. Their ability to repay a mortgage through an affordable payment plan.

West Volusia Habitat for Humanity follows a nondiscriminatory policy for family selection. Neither race nor religion is a factor in choosing Habitat’s homeowners.
